Paracoccus Pantotrophus, is a gram negative, coccus, non-motile and typically a rod-shaped bacterium but assumes spherical shapes during the stationary phase. Like all gram-negative bacteria, it has a double membrane with a cell wall and has an ability to replicate under conditions of hypergravity. Paracoccus Pantotrophus is very flexible and has been found in both aerobic or anaerobic environments.
Benefits of Paracoccus Pantotrophus:
- - Conversion of Nitrate to nitrogen in aqua ponds.
- - Can efficiently oxidize and helps in elimination of hydrogen sulphide.
- - Denitrifying bacterium used in treatment of wastewater containing nitrate with a high Carbon and Nitrogen ratio.
